A note to Janet
For my friend who creates the most astonishing works of art
in the medium of her senses and her experience.
Enthusiastic and imaginative with a passion to portray
What the mind sees and make it real.
With sheets of glass, she cuts and melds it into
patterns of sheer beauty and delight.
Etching liquid images into glass bringing the
Inanimate to life with sand and air, giving her art a
soul with an eye for life and a palette of paint.
She sees the ordinary with a lens and yet with the
snap of a shutter makes it extraordinary, using only
her sense of timing and light to guide her.
And now the canvas has become the forum for her
Talent. She has an innate ability to capture a moment
In a life, time or space and spinning a tale of brush and paint.
And like all of her art she brings to our friendship a
feeling that nothing is impossible and she has allowed
Me to become the artist I am and I am a better person for
Having her in my life.
